Our founders gave up their promising careers in Government Nodal Agency and Academia to plunge into entrepreneurship with a vision to create a company that brings pride to our State of Odisha by generating employment for thousands of youths to shape their destiny and to give back to the society.

Starting on the right foot, Magnum Polymers imported its first international technology from South Korea with the support for the license of Ministry of Industries, Government of India.

Our story started with a manufacturing unit called Cholamandal Nets Pvt Ltd. set up by our founder Mr. Ramesh Mahapatra, with a total capital of 25 lakh (INR). It was later renamed as Magnum Polymers Pvt. Ltd.

Owing to the founders forward-looking outlook, Mr. Ramesh Mahapatra and Mrs. Geeta Rani Padhi along with Late Mr. Niranjan Mohanty, sets up one of India’s first Industrial Projects Consultancy firm to help budding Indian entrepreneurs to realize their dreams.

Our relentless work was recognised by the Government of India and we were acknowledged with Best Small-Scale Industry Award. The Governor of the State of Odisha gave the award on behalf of The Hon'ble President of the Republic of India.

With a foresight that is the hallmark of the Magnum name, the Group identified the need to diversify by launching Magnum Pharmatech – its contract manufacturing arm. Its first client includes Emami Ltd, a leading Indian FMCG player, specializing in herbal creams, hair oils, powders and soaps.

Magnum Apparels Pvt Ltd. manufactured clothes and specifically winter jackets for multiple Norwegian brands and exported apparels to Norway.

Buoyed by the success of Magnum Polymers Pvt. Ltd. and emergence of increasing demand for high quality twines, Magnum Group sets up Magnum Fibres Pvt. Ltd. specializing in manufacturing HDPE & PP Twines; PP Ropes; HDPE Pipes and PLB Ducts.

Magnum Polymers imports its state-of-art technology from Norway for manufacturing of world class Polymers and Nylon fishing nets.

Continuing on the path of positive transformation, Magnum Group diversifies into brackish water aquaculture and sets up Magnum Estate Pvt Ltd. and acquires 60 acres of land for harvesting prawns in “Inchudi”, Balasore. A place famous for one of the most effective independence revolutions, the historic Salt 'Satyagraha' of 1930, led by Mahatma Gandhi himself.

Having witnessed initial success Magnum Estate acquires another 90 acres for aquaculture.

Joining the IT revolution, the company announces Magnum Telesoft Pvt. Ltd., with a state-of-art BPO with specialization in Banking and Healthcare sectors providing voice and data services.

Forecasting a sharp growth in demand Magnum estates acquires another 60 acres of land in Balasore, 50 kms from the original farm. With over 40 ponds spread over 200 acres of land Magnum Estates is one of the largest brackish water aquaculture company in Eastern India.

With a desire to bring the same quality and commitment as Merchant exporter of prawns, Magnum Seafoods Limited is launched. The first facility is set up in the capital city of Bhubaneshwar in Odisha by leasing out a Seafood processing plant.

As the success continues, a modern state-of-the-art processing facility is set up near Jankia, Odisha. With focus on highest quality standards and innovation, it is one of the most developed processing plants for prawns and fish in the country.

With a contemporary approach, Magnum Estate builds one of its kind pre-processing plant and ice plant in Balasore.

Magnum Concrete utilises state of the art technology to manufacture environment friendly yet low cost and high quality fly ash concrete bricks and blocks.The fully automated production line is one of the largest in the country with the capacity to produce upto one lakh bricks in a day, in a sustainable manner.

A new stepping stone in our growth story, Magnum estate starts marketing Unit President feed and financing contract farmers. Our support to the farmers, give more people access to better livelihood and makes them an integral part of our vibrant seafood ecosystem.

Magnum Group launches its new venture Magnum Media Pvt. Ltd and produces its first celluloid production with the movie “SHAPATH”.

As the growth of Magnum Seafood continues, another State of art processing and value addition plant was developed in Balaramgudi, Balasore, Odisha

Our efforts for excellence were recognized by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Damodardas Modi and we recieved Best Seafood Manufacturer of India award.
