Mr. Ramesh Mahapatra

Chairman – Magnum Group

Mr. Mahapatra has been the Chairman of Magnum Group since its inception in 1984.

Mr. Mahapatra started his career in 1974 with IPICOL, (Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha), and moved onto become an entrepreneur in 1984. His entrepreneurial journey started with a humble beginning of a consultancy firm of Magnum. He has been recognized and awarded with the Best Small-Scale Industry Award in 1987 from Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha; National Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship in 1989, Best Entrepreneurship in 1992 from Orissa State Finance Corporation and National Award for Best Medium Scale Industry in India from Hon'ble Prime Minister of India.

Mr. Mahapatra is a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and holds a Diploma in Development Banking from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, India. He had also been a Rotary Exchange Fellow in the United States of America since 1976.

He has served as President of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (UCCI) from 2010 onwards for ten consecutive years bringing in some remarkable contributions. Mr. Mahapatra has been the President of Seafood Exporter Association of India – Odisha Region, The President of Industrial Association of Bhubaneswar, Executive Committee member of CII, Executive Committee of Indian Fishnet Manufacturers Association.

Mr. Mahapatra is also the Co-founder of the Managing Trustee of MDB Trust. MDB Trust is built on the belief that long-term value creation comes only with responsible and safe utilization of resources, overall improvement in human standards of living and promoting diversity, inclusion and fairness in all aspects of our lives.

Dr. Geeta Rani Padhi

VICE CHAIRPERSON – MAGNUM Group

Dr. Padhi has over 40 years of work experience, starting her career with the Regional College of Education. After a short stint in academics, she joined the Consultancy Firm of Magnum and contributed to its evolution into a group company spreading across multiple industry verticals. She has led and managed several projects (Inclusive of and not limited to):

• Magnum Fibres
• Magnum Pharmatech
• Magnum Estates
• Magnum Seafoods
• Magnum Telesoft
• Magnum Concretes
• Magnum Dream Homes
• Magnum Matrixs
• Magnum Media

Dr. Padhi has done her MSc. in Chemistry and holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry from Utkal University, Odisha. She has been recognized and awarded as the Best Lady Entrepreneur in 1992 from Governor of Odisha; in 1993 from Management Forum; and in 1994 from OSME and in 2014 Best Medium Industry Award in Odisha from Chief Minister of Odisha.

An active philanthropist, she dedicates her leisure hours to social work and community service. She is an active member of Lions Club, having been its Cabinet Secretary, Club President, Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, and District Governor (322C4). She has also been the President of Palli Unayan Seva Samiti, a Destitute Home for 415 children for five consecutive years. Today, she leads the CSR wing of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industries as the President of Ladies Forum. She was also the Executive Committee Member of AIEBA (Association of Industrial Entrepreneurs of Bhubaneswar)

Mrs. Samidha Satpathy

Promoter - Director

After over 20 years in leadership roles (with focus on Marketing) at Microsoft, Oracle, HP, Dell-EMC and Ericsson, Mrs. Samidha Satpathy chose to return to India—leaving behind a successful global career to contribute to her homeland and her family’s legacy.

With a deep sense of national pride and a strong belief in the Make in India vision, she took up the mantle at the 43-year-old Magnum Group. Today, as Co-Vice Chairperson of Magnum Sea Foods Limited, she is spearheading the company’s transformation—expanding into global markets, integrating the seafood value chain, and investing in aquaculture technologies and marine life-sciences R&D.

Her leadership is redefining Magnum’s business model with innovation and purpose. A strong advocate of women-led progress and Indian entrepreneurship, Samidha Satpathy is a living example of returning to one’s roots—not just to lead, but to serve and build for the next generation.
