Mr. Geet Amrit holds a dual degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering (2010-2015) from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela where he received the Director’s Merit Award for being among the top three rank holders of the department and the National Fellowship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. His research interests in the field of heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics enabled him to work as a Research scholar at the esteemed Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai where his areas of research were analysis of thermal stratifications and structural integrity of pressurised pipelines of nuclear reactors.
After graduating with Honours from NIT Rourkela, he received his Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (2015-2017) from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. While pursuing his management degree at IIM Bangalore, he was selected for the Global Social Entrepreneurship Project, a collaborative research initiative between IIM Bangalore and Yale School of Management, USA and a Policy Research Scholar for the ‘Mission Antyodaya’ research initiative of the Government of India. As a management student, he published four case studies in the field of social entrepreneurship, retail strategy and corporate branding in IIM-B management review and research.
Post his MBA from IIM Bangalore, he worked with various financial institutions and banks including Yes Bank, ICICI Bank and Canara Bank in Credit risk and Corporate lending, Product Management, Working Capital financing, MSME credit and Digital lending. He was also part of an early-stage EdTech venture, Meraqi, a platform for students and art enthusiasts to share their creative works and enable student-mentor interactions. Currently, he serves as Founding Director of Coastal Munch Delicacies, where he identifies emerging trends and opportunities in India's frozen food market and forges strategic market entry decisions and growth strategies.
Apart from his academic and professional achievements, he holds three degrees in Hindustani Classical Music, Fine Arts (Painting) and Tabla with distinction from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. It has earned him notable recognition at various national and international level events and encouraged him to conceptualise and establish CANVAS, the fine arts club of IIM Bangalore, for the student community, faculty members, and staff of the institute. He was also the Founding Member and Coordinator of the first-ever Inter-IIM Art Competition among the top four IIMs of India.
